It's not from the lumber yard

I'm building a few boards for the wall and decided to go with some 120 year old Matai and Rimu for a traditional Hawaiian Alaia with a stringer pieced together from driftwood. I'm not sure if it gets any more eco friendly or sustainable.

Dust bites the dust

When you're wading knee deep round the workshop kicking tools and standing on nails, you start to realize the brush and shovel isn't really cutting it. I even got to joking that I made dust and sold the wood that was leftover...

2000 cubic foot per minute of dust extraction should hopefully help...

Wooden boards are not just for the guys...

Ahh... first wave thrills!

Thanks Bree, hopefully catch up for a surf this summer, never got a chance to 'product test' before delivery

"Wood boards taken to the level of fine art…"
Thanks Paul Jensen, comments like this make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. There's still wax on the deck from our dawnie... proof it wasn't built to hang on the wall aye.

Crowds!

Cameras!
